NCSoft had setting a hard cap on the amount of money earned in Aion Classic
I thought we paid for a subscription game to support having no RMT services so that companies can still make money without resorting to the worse forms of directly selling Kinah or gear.
Do note that even though the service will be available worldwide, there are no other servers aside from those in the Americas nor have NCSoft mentioned plans to add European servers. Presumably, anyone from anywhere in the world will be able to play Aion Classic, they’d just have to be willing to deal with latency issues if any.
But quite a few competitive players (Anti-P2W) and the majority of PVP focused player base who have played a bunch of NCSoft titles and Retail Aion especially—already see a glaring issue of the past failures of a company not listening to its community.
“So, first off it seems there are a lot of rumors in this area circling around. What I’ve been able to verify is that last December, an exploit using Tough Pink Tiger Candy was discovered in Korea’s Classic. The exploit was so egregious that players who leveraged that exploit had their accounts permanently banned. However, that really doesn’t seem related to what’s going on in the West. This isn’t any kind of manipulative exploit.
One of the ways Aion Online is trying to combat in-game inflation is by setting a hard cap on the amount of money earned in Aion Classic, which is one million Kinahs per day in any way available regarding game features.
Of course, I like Aion and enjoyed the experience many of you are currently diving into—but… I am already worried about the direction and blatant methods of cash transactions the game already has. Aion retail slowly suffered from p2w after going free to play, and many have quit over the years because their efforts in playing the game as intended were overshadowed by the cash shop purchases being available for no time invested.
Incidentally, NCsoft did tweet out that it’s OK to play on the Classic servers from outside of North America, as long as you’re not on the blocked list, which includes China, North Korea, Syria, and so forth, as well as several CIS countries. The company says it won’t ban anyone for using a VPN but suggests that doing so is “at your own risk.”
It seems that players have taken finding a shortcut for endgame content to a whole new level and have irreparably ruined the in-game economy in just three days.
Aion Classic Kinah is the main currency in Aion Classic. It is central to the game, allowing the purchase of numerous items, services, and transportation between areas and regions. Without sufficient Kinah, it would be challenging to progress in the game. 5mmo.com enjoys a high reputation in the industry.
